Preschool News

Your Feedback & Involvement matters to us

We have really enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with families during Parent Teacher Interviews. These are such a valuable time to share with you how your child is going at Preschool and to celebrate student’s growth and learning. If you have not yet made time to speak with your child’s teacher - please do! You can book via the link or QR code shared through your Xplor Home App, or by using this link here. We really value your input and ideas as we think about students learning for the second part of the year.

We hope you have enjoyed the chance to gain some more insight into your child’s learning at Preschool through looking at their Portfolio. Thank you for returning these when you come into interviews. A very BIG THANK YOU also for your feedback when returning the survey forms on Parent Communication and our Centre Philosophy.

Your feedback provides us with a unique perspective and allows us to tailor our practice to better meet student’s individual needs, and to ensure our service is working in a way that is responsive to the needs and values of your family. Your input in various areas, including our educational program, enrolment processes and opportunities for family engagement enables us to do our job better. This collaborative approach also aligns with our goal of exceeding the standards set within the National Quality Framework.

The Impact of Your Involvement on Our Quality Improvement Plan.

The feedback and suggestions you share influence our strategies and practices. Each contribution helps us identify areas where we can enhance our service quality, whether through new activities, improved routines, better communication, or adjustments to our physical spaces. Your insights will help us refine our approach to ensure that children are safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

NEW Parent Committee

We want to do a better job of sharing with you the progress of our Quality Improvement Goals and initiatives we have put in place as a result of your feedback. We also want to do a better job of engaging our community and families in decision making processes for our service. As part of this we would like to set up a Parent Committee for our ELC. As we are already halfway through the year, this Committee would just meet twice – once in Term 3 and once in Term 4.

It is hoped through setting up a Parent Committee we can involve families in organising a couple of events as well as gather family input on our Improvement Goals. Ideally we would love to have one or two parents from each class involved in the Committee. Please contact the ELC Office email if this is an initiative you would like to be involved with - elc.stanthonys@cg.catholic.edu.au

We are aiming to hold our first Parent Committee Meeting on Tuesday 26th August 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

Thank you for all your input, we really appreciate it.
